Working with a monitor arm or monitor riser is essential to fighting neck strain and poor posture. A monitor that’s too low can cause you to slouch forward, which can in turn cause neck, shoulder, and back pain. Craning forward to look down at a laptop screen that’s too low is a common problem—one that an external monitor can alleviate—but most built-in stands don’t go high enough for use while standing. This is because our lower spines straighten out when we stand and can raise our eye level relative to the work surface and keyboard height by several inches.
Highlights
- A stylish alternative to monitor arms that elevates your monitor(s) for reduced neck strain while standing
- Create extra storage space underneath the shelf to declutter your desktop
- Supports up to 300 lbs of centered weight
- Spacious 40″ × 10″ dimension supports up to two monitors
The Fly Deck is designed especially for users who prefer to use a shelf for their monitor or all-in-one computer (e.g. iMac) rather than a monitor arm. For those with desks placed against a cubicle or physical wall, it can be difficult to adjust a monitor arm each time you switch from sitting to standing. Most monitor arms have an arcing motion, so if you had your monitor perfectly centered when sitting it can shift a bit to the left or right when raised to standing height. The Fly Deck eliminates this issue by keeping your monitor centered no matter the height of your desk or your particular anthropometry.
Note: Interested in the additional ergonomic benefits of a monitor arm but enjoy the aesthetics and space organization afforded by the Fly Deck? Most monitor arms can be safely edge-clamped behind the Fly Deck. (The Fly Deck itself is not designed to accept a monitor arm, do not attach one directly.)

Situated 4.625″ above your desk, the Fly Deck creates an elevated work surface that adds additional storage space beneath the shelf. The angled stanchions have non-slip rubber pads to prevent sliding.
The ultra-sturdy design boasts a 40″ width and 10″ depth, giving you plenty of space for other peripherals and even a dual monitor system. The Fly Deck supports up to 300 pounds of centered weight, several times more than many lower quality plastic monitor risers will support.
Don’t forget the intangible quality of aesthetic beauty. Ideally matching iMovR select tops, the sleek design of the Fly Deck is made to accent your own working space. It is specially finished with our advanced 3D lamination to match or complement your desktop work surface perfectly, available in 24 colors. We back this product with the same 15-year warranty as all our 3D-laminated desktops, and our 100-day satisfaction guarantee. Solid Colors
Wood Grains
Because of the way these woodgrain images wrap perfectly around the ergo-contoured edges of a desktop, visitors to our showroom often have a hard time distinguishing the hand-carved look of these 3D woodgrain laminates from real, solid-wood desks sitting right next to them. These woodgrain colors also hide fingerprints, water rings and dust very well.
Textured Wood Grains
Through advanced, state-of-the-art 3D-lamination technology these reclaimed wood simulations actually have the ridged tactile feel of real wood planks. This technology was developed for customers who love the romantic, weathered look of reclaimed wood but don't want to deal with its high propensity for cracking, warping and decomposition.
Specialty
Soft-Touch Matte Luxe
These newly invented, state-of-the-art "soft-touch" laminates have an amazing tactile feel. Both to the hand and to the eye they exude a sense of luxury, beauty and style like no other desktop surface. These warm, neutral tones are as calming as they are elegant, and the matte finish makes fingerprints, water rings and dust disappear from view.
