Onyx stain is meticulously wiped down on real red oak wood to produce this warm blend of umber with gray and black elements within the grain.
Red oak has color variations from light tan to pink, to red, to dark brown. This plain sawn oak is probably the most popular hardwood used in modern woodworking. Broad grains give red oak a pronounced appearance. It is heavy (42.5 lbs/cu ft), hard, stiff, and highly shock resistant. Red oak has a medium fine, uniform grain.
