The process of assembing the main desk is precisely the same as the 2-legged Lander desk, and involves no tools. The pre-assembled side tables attach to the main desk with only 4 machine bolts and 5 wood screws each. A typical U-desk can easily take hours to complete, or require the services of professional installers, the Lander U-Desk comes together in less than 15 minutes. The side table connections are interchangeable, and be swapped should your office configuration change. The married connections between the main desk and side tabletop returns offer an easy setup process with unmatched stability.
Intuitive Height Control Paddle with Bluetooth Connection to Smartphone App
The Lander U-Desk comes outfitted with a height control paddle that connects to a free smartphone app via Bluetooth. You can use the app to remotely raise your desk, set your favorite height positions, establish custom reminders to stand, and much more. Over time, the app will be enhanced with additional features to help you maximize the health benefits of standing at your desk.
Height changes can be made manually with a simple upward or downward tap on the sleek paddle, with its high-res, multicolor display. A quick double-tap automatically raises or lowers the desk to your preferred height without having to hold it down with your finger. iMovR Lander desks are the only American-made standing desks on the market with this "one-touch" feature.
All of the functionality of the paddle can also be used through the app, including setting and storing your facorite heights and health coach settings. Maximize Your Useable Office Space
Most U-shaped standing desks are only available in a single size, and often only one (sometimes two) of the three sides of the U-desk actually raises up to standing height. With the Lander U-Desk, you don't have to settle fot that. All three work surfaces rize and descend in perfect unision, with a brawny 720 lbs-rated, precision-built lifting base to safely move all your gear at an impressive 1.6 inches per second.
Because the Lander U-Desk is manufactured on-demand via a highly-automated production process, we are able to offer three size options for the main desktop and five sizes for the side tables in width increments of six inches, not just on-the-foot like other manufacturers, allowing you to maximize your useable work area in your office. Like most desks in the Lander line, the main desk of a Lander U-Desk is 30″ deep. On 83″ and 89″ Lander U-Desks, the side table returns have a depth of 24″, while on 95″ U-Desks, the returns can have a depth of either 24″ or 30″.
The side tables are completely interchangeable, so the left and right sides can be swapped if your office configuration ever needs to change, and can be either rectangular or “peninsula” shaped with a half-circle at the end. This feature of the Lander U-Desk is not just a design element taken from the fixed-height world, it makes the desk much more practical for users who may seat co-workers or clients on the other side of their desk.
Advanced 3D-Laminated Desktops in 24 Colors
The Lander U-Desk has an exclusive Surf(x) 3D laminated top that comes in 24 color options. They are ultra-durable, visually stunning, and give the appearance of being carved from natural hardwood—but at a much lower price. The ergo-contoured edges are more comfortable for leaning on and stand up better against dings and scratches. The Surf(x) 3D lamination process also hermetically seals the tops to protect against moisture damage. Even the grommet holes are completely sealed, with no exposed MDF or plastic grommet caps. There are also no exposed glue seams to dry out or to collect bacteria, and the desktops are impervious to even the harshest of cleaning chemicals.
Of the 24 colors offered, five are solids (Designer White, Fashion Gray, Racing Red, Shark Gray, and Black) and seven are wood grains (Light Maple, Almond Cherry, Hayward Cherry, Clove Mahogany, Shaker Cherry, Bella Walnut, and Obsidian Oak). We also offer three textured wood grains that offer the aesthetic of reclaimed wood (Reclaimed Pine Cabin, Reclaimed Warehouse Oak, and Reclaimed Victorian Gray) and two specialty colors (Carbon Fibers and Corten Metal). Finally, we offer two luxurious soft-touch matte luxe colors (Luxe Cadet and Luxe Sage).

Because of the way these woodgrain images wrap perfectly around the ergo-contoured edges of a desktop, visitors to our showroom often have a hard time distinguishing the hand-carved look of these 3D woodgrain laminates from real, solid-wood desks sitting right next to them. These woodgrain colors also hide fingerprints, water rings and dust very well.

Through advanced, state-of-the-art 3D-lamination technology these reclaimed wood simulations actually have the ridged tactile feel of real wood planks. Choose the Size and Shape of Your Returns:
On 83″ and 89″ Lander U-Desks, the returns (side tables) have a depth of 24″, while on 95″ U-Desks, the returns have a depth of either 24″30″. However, the width of the returns and their shape are configurable, and each return can be customized individually. If you need the arms of your U-Desk to be different lengths or different shapes, you can do that with a Lander U-Desk.

Note that on returns up to 47″ in width, wood grain patterns will run parallel to that of the main desktop, while on sizes 53″ and above, the grain pattern will run perpendicular.
